Tiene un tama\u00f1o impresionante, y esta foto de 1993 no le hace justicia.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Este enlace a <strong><a title=\"Situaci\u00f3n de la Central Hidroel\u00e9ctrica Robert Moses - Niagara - USA\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.es\/maps?q=43.142976,-79.040036&amp;num=1&amp;t=h&amp;sll=40.396764,-3.713379&amp;sspn=7.829737,14.985352&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=43.131433,-79.044743&amp;spn=0.089572,0.222988&amp;z=13\" target=\"_blank\">google maps<\/a><\/strong> nos permite ver la ubicaci\u00f3n de la central -en Niagara, al norte del estado de Nueva York-, cuya producci\u00f3n anual de energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica representa aproximadamente el 15% del consumo de toda Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n<p>Junto con la central Sir Adam Beck -del lado canadiense, desde donde est\u00e1 tomada la foto- derivan aproximadamente dos tercios del caudal de agua que pasar\u00eda por las Cataratas del Niagara. Con ello cumplen dos funciones: producen energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica de forma limpia y reducen la erosi\u00f3n en las cataratas que, a\u00fan as\u00ed, avanzan a raz\u00f3n de medio metro por a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>Para hacernos una idea del tama\u00f1o podemos compararla con alguna de las centrales hidroel\u00e9ctricas de nuestro entorno (los enlaces os llevaran de nuevo a google maps).
