WebDav es una forma de acceder a los archivos de un servidor remoto via http. De este modo es posible añadir, editar, renombrar o eliminar ficheros y directorios ubicados en cualquier lugar en la web con soporte para este protocolo.
Apache2 cuenta con el módulo nativo dav_fs (mod_dav en Apache 1.3) que proporciona una implementación de servidor WebDav para cualquier directorio virtual. Se activa mediante unas sencillas directivas.
